“This poor soul completely broke our hearts in two. He was shivering and screaming in FEAR.” This is what Donna from Stray Rescue of St. Louis said after her first encounter with the frightened dog.
The rescuer saw the dog huddled against a pole with his bodies covered in bruises and injuries. The loud and mournful howls from him were evident enough that he was in desperate need of help. The young woman was shattered to see the dog having troubles to get warm in that cold winter with all that injuries.
Initially, she assumed that the dog will run away if anyone approached near him. But to her surprise, the dog easily let them put a leash around his neck as if he knew that they were there to help him.
After the thorough examination, Donna found that the dog needed medical attention first. She said, ”He smells of infection from a wound on his side and appears to have paraphimosis.”
