Baby antelope is too tiny for zoo weighing scales

2089

Little Antelope Thamos no longer has his mother around after she passed away on the same day he was born. But that doesn’t mean he is all alone in this big world.

At the Chester Zoo, the keepers have gone out of their way to make sure he is safe and has a home.

At only 7.5 inches tall, and too light for the zoo scales to read his weight the keepers are hand raising the little guy to make sure he ends up okay.

The plan is to eventually introduce him to the rest of the herd currently residing at the zoo.
