Taking someone away from their family is probably one of the most stressful experiences both for the one being taken away and the entire family left behind. Now just imagine how elephants, who live with their parents their entire lives, must feel when one of them is taken from their herd.
You can feel the excitement in this lady’s voice because she and a group of volunteers got to participate in once in a lifetime mission of bringing an elephant family back together.
When you see how these gentle giants react when they get reunited after so long it’s so emotional I almost cried.
