A giant 200-year-old Salamander has been found in a Chinese cave. The 4.5 foot salamander may be the world’s oldest living land creature, as experts estimate the amphibian to be over 200 years old, making it older than Johnathon the tortoise.

The Chinese Salamander is a critically endangered species and is considered the world’s largest amphibian. Sadly, their population has plummeted an estimated 80% in the past 50 years as they are farmed intensively for their meat.
