Scared Dog Rescued

1076

As unfortunate as it sounds, it’s the harsh reality of the world we live in, that there are hundreds, and even thousands, of animals around you that are abandoned and have no place to call home.

Although we, as a society, try to bring awareness to these stray animals and see that they’re looked after, we need more of a hand to ensure that we can get these canines and cats to the safety and in the care that they deserve.

In situations where you need a helping hand, you can always turn to organizations like Howl Of A Dog, a small rescue organization determined to get as many animals off the streets and into loving homes. Bobi, the dog, is one of these fortunate pets to be looked after by this group.

The puppy was cold and sad when he was found, but rescuers knew that they had to approach him with caution. It was too risky to attempt a rescue there, as they were worried that he could run and get hit by a passing train. So, they followed him and tried to redirect him towards a safer place.

“It was quite a marathon as he ran away each time we approached him. But he eventually understood we are only trying to help him, or maybe the smell of the yummy treats finally reached his nose,” they wrote.

They took him to the vet right away and were surprised to discover he had a microchip and an owner, but were sad at what the owner had to say.

Howl of a Dog said.

“We hoped a happy dog-owner reunion would follow, but when we contacted the registered owner he told us he does not want the dog back and asked us to take him. Apparently, Bobi (this is the name given by his owner) ran away from home and traveled quite a long distance, being found approximately 10 miles away from his home. We’ll never know why he left home and why he wasn’t wanted anymore, but we do not want to judge anyone, we’re just thankful that we were able to save him.”

Howl Of A Dog managed to take Bobi to the shelter where he is now being looked after. He is up for adoption and in need of a forever home. Here’s hoping that Bobi gets the beautiful life that he deserves.

Howl of a Dog does allow international adoptions, and more information is available on their website.
